Slips, Trips, and Falls Safety Training

Duration: 4 hours

We all know what happens when a key player on our favorite football, basketball or hockey team gets injured in a game: OUR TEAM IS WEAKENED and sometimes because of that injury they lose! That one person makes the critical difference between a win and a loss for so many reasons. Well, the same thing happens on the industrial playing field – the team, including management and the front office all rely on the industrial athlete to play it smart and safe so no one gets injured or hurt.

OSHA reports that slips, trips, and falls constitute the majority of general industry accidents. In fact, these types of accidents cause an estimated 15% of all accidental deaths, and are second only to motor vehicles as a cause of fatalities (Source: OSHA). This highly interactive and engaging training program satisfies OSHA training requirements for OSHA Part: 1910, Subpart: D and covers:

    • the potential hazards encountered
    • the responsibilities of every worker
    • the steps to prevent hazards
    • identification, response and communication
    • basic protective gear to prevent s/t/f

This training program is designed specifically for the food distribution environment and highlights how each position in the warehouse is impacted by unique conditions that could lead to slips, trips and falls, including:

    • Dry goods order selectors
    • Managers & supervisors

This training program takes a proactive training perspective and focuses on hazard prevention, identification, and response, and building lessons learned into a adaptive safe operating procedures (ASOPs).
